Posted March 02, 2018 16:30:23 Netflix has announced a new feature that will allow users to watch movies and television shows in different regions.
Netflix says it’s using the data from its cloud platform to provide a more personalized experience.
In a blog post on its website, Netflix said its “Netflix Cloud Video Platform offers the best possible user experience, including access to Netflix’s global library of movies and shows in more than 200 countries and territories across the globe”.
In a press release, Netflix says it will be able to “provide a better experience by enabling the Netflix Cloud Video Service to automatically detect local and global regions and content”.
Users can choose to watch a movie in Australia, the UK, France, Canada, Brazil, Germany, Spain, the US, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
“If you don’t want to watch the movies or TV shows in your region, simply tap on a region icon in the top right hand corner of the Netflix home page, and the Netflix Service will automatically select your preferred region,” Netflix said.
Users will also be able watch the shows in a different country each month, depending on the content.
“If a show is available for more than one region in your area, you can simply tap to switch to a different region,” the company said.
Netflix’s service is available in the US and Canada.
