The NHL Network’s live hockey coverage starts Monday, April 5 at 10 a.m.
ET/7 p.m., with regular and pregame shows on ESPN2 and NHL.com.
On March 12, the NHL’s broadcast partners ESPN2, NBC Sports Live Extra, NBCSN and Telemundo streamed the NHL Playoffs, which averaged an average of 14.6 million viewers per game.
The average viewing audience for the Winter Classic was 13.1 million viewers, the league reported.
The NFL has its own network, FOX, which has broadcast games through the regular season and postseason, with a total audience of 7.8 million viewers for the 2017 regular season, and 8.4 million for the postseason.
