Netflix’s hit drama “Downtons” was one of the highlights of the 2013-14 season, and now it looks like the series might be coming to Netflix.
The streaming giant confirmed via a tweet that the original series “Dumb and Dumber” will be returning to its streaming service on January 30, 2014.
The tweet was later deleted but the image remains.
The news came on the heels of reports that Hulu had acquired “Dunkirk,” the last film in the series, for $4.5 billion.
Hulu also has a streaming deal with HBO, and a number of other original series.
Downtons was the second Netflix series to be acquired by Hulu in 2014, following “House of Cards.”
The news comes on the same day that Netflix’s original series, “House Of Cards,” was announced.
Netflix had been negotiating to purchase the show for a whopping $500 million, with HBO acquiring the rights for $450 million.
The series is set in a world where people work for a living, and many of the characters work in government, including the President.
“House” premiered in 2017 and was picked up by Netflix for a fourth season in 2019.
