I grew up watching a lot of Madagascar movies.
My parents would get me a Madagascar T-shirt and I’d wear it to school to make sure I was in good shape.
I remember one particular scene in which a tiny Madagascar cat was running through the forest with its head in the mud and the rest of the animal’s body being pushed off a cliff.
It was heartbreaking and it’s one of the movies I remember.
But now that I’m a mom, I know I can’t watch that movie again.
I’ve seen a lot more Madagascar movies, but I’m always looking for new, unexpected places to explore.
And in my mind, there’s a scene from the latest movie in Madagascar, titled, “The Last Wish.”
I remember sitting down in front of the TV and I saw the last line of dialogue that played: “When the sun goes down, the moon goes back.”
That was a very memorable scene in my life, and now I’ve gotten to see the movie a second time.
This is a movie that has captured my imagination in many ways.
I was so thrilled when I saw it on my own.
I loved the fact that it was set in a tropical island with a lot to offer for children.
There was no need for a big story line, no need to give us a backstory, just a simple, easy-to-follow adventure that was fun for kids to watch.
It had so much potential, and it did so well in my lifetime.
I just can’t wait to see what comes next.
